Reviews & Press Inquiries

ABOUT ANDRÉ J DE SAINT PHALLEVermont memoirist André J de Saint Phalle (born 1952) is the author of
The Spaces Between trilogy, which chronicles fifty years from hitchhiking
across Nixon's America in 1973 to finding stillness in Vermont's Green
Mountains. He is the nephew of renowned sculptor Niki de Saint Phalle and
grandson of Wall Street banker André de Saint Phalle.
SURFING THE INTERSTATES (Book One, 2025)"A masterwork of American road literature... Essential American literature—
a book that captures a specific moment (summer 1973) and makes it eternal.
Saint Phalle's prose is deceptively simple—clear sentences, vivid details,
dialogue that breathes. But beneath that clarity runs a current of poetry."
”Raw, unflinching... reads like Kerouac raised on acid and Allman Brothers.
Worth your time."
